A bit about me
I've been building software and leading engineering teams for 20+ years — starting from freelance graphic design and front-end work, growing through individual contributor roles, and eventually into technical leadership and management.
My career has taken me through startups, scale-ups, and everything in between. I've been a CTO, CIO, a co-founder, and an IC. I think my most effective work happens at the intersection of technical depth and people leadership.
Outside of work, I co-host WhatTheActualDev — a podcast for developers who want real talk about the industry. I'm also always building something on the side.

Two decades in, the technical stuff is seldom the hard part. Here's what actually matters — the things no bootcamp, certification, or job description will tell you.
Let's work together
Whether you're looking to collaborate, talk shop about engineering leadership, or just connect — I'm always open to a good conversation.
